Sustainable jewellery
Flora’s singular pieces reflect an imaginative design process. Exploring her inspiration freely, Flora variously sketches, paints in gouache, or hand carves wax.
Pattern is at the heart of her designs. Flora explores symmetry and ornament, reimagining traditional patterns and crafting motifs. Flora works closely with a trusted network of expert artisans to bring them to life.
Owning a piece of Flora Bhattachary jewellery is special. Every piece is carefully considered, sourced and crafted - in small edits or one-of-a-kind creations.

Our Stones
Each stone we use is chosen for its unique and natural characteristics. We use a selection of accredited reputable gem dealers who find stones from across the world. We endeavour to source stones from small independent artisanal mines where we can identify the mine conditions and the cutters. However, the nature of the jewellery industry means that we are unable to say that this applies to all our gems. We continue to strive for greater transparency from our stone suppliers. We only use conflict free stones obtained from suppliers who comply with strict international regulations, including but not limited to the UN's Kimberley Process where diamonds are concerned. We can also work with traceable, lab-grown or recycled and reclaimed diamonds. If you would like a certified diamond - please notify us and we will be happy to source this for you.

Ethics
All our jewels are hand crafted at our studio in Hatton Garden, London.
Flora is a Fairmined licensed jeweller. We use certified recycled gold and platinum as standard but are happy to make any design in Fairmined artisanal gold to order.
Our favourite route to sustainability is to re-imagine old jewels. Flora loves to rework unloved gems utilising the materials and giving them a new lease of life.
